Frank Zappa captured in one sentence what seems like the ideal way to introduce Oorali.
'You can’t always write a chord ugly enough to say what you want to say, so sometimes you have to rely on a giraffe filled with whipped cream.'
An off shoot of Sadhna Center for Creative Practice, Thrissur, Kerala – Oorali is musical experience that blends itself with theatre and conversations. It speaks about all things political, current and personal through the foundation of raw poetry that often seems like melodic conversations to a spectator. While Malayalam folk, reggae, blues and rock influence their sound, their theatrics evolve from everyday manifestations of the world that surrounds us.
Even though the music is predominantly Malayalam, the visual and auditory spectacle that they carefully craft through the idea of musical storytelling is what transcends the limitations of language.

While the show is free for all, a suggested amount for contribution would be between Rs. 300-500.
